GambiWives, Inc. began as a heartfelt response to the shared experiences of American women who found family, purpose, and partnership in The Gambia. What started as a small circle of wives supporting one another has grown into a powerful organization committed to cultural connection and communal strength. Our name reflects the bond between continents, as well as the commitment to building something lasting for the next generation.

We’ve spent the last two years deepening relationships with local leaders, communities, and partners—both in Texas and The Gambia. From humble beginnings, our growth has been guided by trust, lived experience, and a belief that when women come together across borders, they can create meaningful change that transcends location or circumstance. This is more than a nonprofit—it’s a sisterhood with a mission.

At GambiWives, Inc., our mission is to empower women, girls, and survivors of domestic violence—while amplifying the voices of American wives who have built meaningful relationships with Gambian men. These women are not only our founders and supporters—they are the heart of our movement.

We aim to improve healthcare, education, youth employment, and overall quality of life in underserved communities. Through sanitary pad drives, free schooling programs, vocational training, childcare support, and collaborative partnerships, we provide real tools and resources for real impact.

Together, we are building bridges across continents and creating a legacy of healing, opportunity, and love that lifts generations.
